Artificial Intelligence with Cloud Computing
Created two hybrid deepfake detectors that accurately detects images generated by contemporary diffusion models (SD 3.5, FLUX.1, Midjourney v7, Sora, etc.) without the need for metadata or watermarks: One model ensembles a ViT model with an NPR-guided CNN to detect semantic artifacts alongside pixel-level artifacts, achieving over 97.5% validation accuracy and an AUC of 0.9979 after being trained on 47,181 images sourced from various Kaggle competitions and Hugging Face datasets. DeepShield uses a three-stream vision transformer architecture to look for spatial artifacts, frequency-domain traces, and global semantics with gated fusion, scoring 96.2% accuracy and an AUC of 0.9941 on cross-generator accuracy. Implemented both solutions as FastAPI APIs with explainability built-in using saliency heatmaps.
